Health, Safety and Environment

The USW Health, Safety and Environment Department helps keep all members safer on the job by simultaneously working on a number of fronts. These include providing training and educational programming for local unions and staff representatives, advocating for more robust workplace regulations and standards, and assisting local unions with pursuing health, safety, and environmental concerns. The HSE department also helps negotiate stronger health and safety language in USW contracts so that our members can come home from work the same way they arrived.
