We are pleased to announce the USW Mining Conference, to be held on September 22-23, 2026, at the United Steelworkers International Headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA. This conference is dedicated to our Mining Sector Workers.
The Mining Conference is an important part of our International Union’s commitment to support our members in the mining sector through health & safety, education, collective bargaining, legislative action, and organizing.
French translation services will be provided at the conference.

Conference Registration and Fee
Registration for the conference is available online, by email, or by mail, and should be completed by August 21, 2026. To cover conference costs, there will be a $225.00 per participant registration fee.
Online registration: Register online here. You can either pay online with a credit card or mail a physical check to the address listed below. U.S. locals may also pay by eCheck. Please include a list of delegates or a copy of your registration confirmations if a check is mailed.
Email registration: Email the enclosed registration form to Lisa Nutter at [email protected] and mail a check to the address listed below.
Mail registration: Mail the enclosed registration form and check to the address below. All checks should be made payable to USW Secretary-Treasurer, with “2026 Mining Conference” on the memo line of the check.

Hotel Information
A block of hotel rooms has been reserved at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Pittsburgh, PA. The room rate is $179.00 per night plus taxes. A credit card will be needed to make reservations.
The deadline for hotel reservations is August 22, 2026.

Airline Travel
In cooperation with Direct Travel, we have made special arrangements for air transportation to the conference. You are responsible for making your reservations. Please call 1-877-499-1149 and select prompt “4” (group meetings). When calling, please identify yourself as a participant in the USW Mining Conference. Please call between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday; otherwise, and after-hours transaction fee will apply if the call is outside of these regular business hours.
