Co-Op Federation Workers Join the USW

Staff members of the U.S. Federation of Worker Cooperatives (USFWC) became the newest members of USW Local 9007 this spring when they voted to ratify their first contract. 

Founded in 2004, the USFWC helps to create, support and sustain worker-owned cooperatives. The staff at the federation joins their fellow Local 9007 members at ICA Group, Palante Technology Cooperative, and Keystone Development Center, all part of the growing co-op sector of the USW.  

Worker-owners at Wholehearted Bookkeeping Cooperative (Local 318, District 4) and Comp.coop (Local 14734, District 1) also joined the USW in the past year.
