USW Announces Tentative Agreement with Arconic on New Three-Year Contract

PITTSBURGH – The United Steelworkers (USW) today announced that the union reached a tentative agreement with Arconic on a new three-year master agreement covering workers at four facilities. 

Details of the tentative agreement will be presented to the membership before ratification votes are conducted at each local union. 

“From the beginning of these negotiations, our members stood together and made clear that they were determined to secure a fair agreement that recognizes their hard work and dedication,” said Emil Ramirez, USW International vice president and chair of the negotiating committee. “The solidarity shown by our membership across all four Arconic locations gave this committee the strength and unity needed to reach a tentative agreement that we are proud to bring back to the members.” 

Ramirez thanked the bargaining committee members and local union leadership for their commitment throughout the negotiations process. 

The USW represents 850,000 workers employed in metals, mining, pulp and paper, rubber, chemicals, glass, auto supply and the energy-producing industries, along with a growing number of workers in health care, public sector, higher education, tech and service occupations.
