Co-op Cincy’s Biennial Gathering Deepens Solidarity Across Co-op Ecosystem

Drawing by Brandon Black

More than 20 USW members across multiple workplaces spearheaded the 7th Union Co-op Symposium in October 2025, bringing together worker-owners and union members from across the U.S. to share knowledge and deepen solidarity between the cooperative and labor movements in pursuit of a more just economy.

The USW was the primary sponsor of the two-day event, which featured 48 breakout sessions educating workers on how the union co-op model empowers them when converting companies to worker ownership and on concepts like participatory management and the Living Organization Framework, which help businesses adapt to ever-evolving needs.
