Rapid Response Info Alert: Petition Submission Deadline

Balancing the Scales for Workers

Click here to download this Info Alert as a PDF.

This is a final reminder for USW members to return petition materials as part of our union’s effort to call on elected officials to prioritize the needs of working people.

These petitions reflect the key priorities we fight for every day: protecting workers’ rights, lowering prescription drug costs, holding corporations accountable, ensuring safe workplaces, defending retirement security, and advancing fair trade policies that benefit workers.

All petition signatures must be postmarked by Saturday, January 31.

  • If you have not yet returned your materials, please take a few minutes to review the packet and mail it back as soon as possible.
  • If you have any questions or concerns about the deadline, or need assistance, contact your Rapid Response District Coordinator. They are available to help ensure every member who wants to participate is able to do so.

The petition is more than paperwork – it will be a core issue discussed at our 2026 Rapid Response, Legislative and Policy Conference and a key tool for holding elected officials accountable to working people.

Every Signature Counts!
